The management of Ottasolo FC wishes to announce to the general public of its team (Ottasolo International Football Club) the withdrawal from the Nigeria National League (NNL) due to loss of confidence in the management of the League body.
As a private club, we believe that our interests and rights have been trampled upon by the so-called executive members of the league body, especially Mr. Emmanuel Adesanya who runs the league as if it were his personal business .
According to the team’s general manager, Mr. John Marley who spoke to Ottasolo FC media,
“We have done our best to ensure that we continue with the league but the body of the National League of Nigeria (NNL) has let us down in many ways and they have shown no signs that they are going to s improve, that’s why we decided to withdraw from the league.
“The latest of their disappointment is to refuse our ‘force majeure letter’. Despite our early notification to the league body on Saturday June 25, 2022, when our vehicle developed a major fault en route Warri and requested that our game be rescheduled to a later date but to our dismay the league body responded later via Lagos State FA as at 5pm that we should catch another bus and continue the journey to Warri the same day without consider the dangers on the roads of Nigeria.
“We expected the NNL to consider our letter of force majeure as this is the first time we have asked for our game to be postponed, but they felt we were not worth a second chance as they continued the game (Walkover) on Sunday June 26, 2022 awarding three points and three goals to Warri Wolves.
“In light of the above, we viewed the NNL as a body that lacks credible leadership and structure. Therefore, we have decided to withdraw from the league. The General Manager concluded.
It is a very good experience to participate in the second tier of the Nigerian League; we will always bet on it to push us towards success in our next adventure.
